Lozio Affair: a new letter

continue the discussion on the vicissitudes of urban Lozio after the article by James Goldaniga on Graffiti.
Dear Editor, I know that
on Article Mr. Goldaniga, published in the November, Ales Domenighini has already responded with a letter that we fully share. We just wanted to try to clarify a few doubts: it is that maybe Mr. Goldaniga was influenced, or even misguided, by the fact that the cultural activity carried out by us this summer was the presentation of his latest book at the exhibit hall run by his son del'ex Pizio mayor?
Or maybe it was the fact that the same Michael Pizio the "notorious" Mr. Goldaniga has co-written a book on the history and people of Lozio, commissioned by the then junta in charge (forse. Pizio ..?) With allocation of resources to "one country on four villages, with 360 inhabitants and 200 families, "is probably the case be defined as significant?!? Thanks

How To Completely Drain A Cold Sore

Graffiti: 20 years!

publish a preview of the editorial Moncini Valerio, on the 200 th issue of Graffiti:
Known in its infancy as the little camuna Pravda, as it was anchored in Truth, a weekly of the Communist federation, was the Graffiti its target (a term dear to those who ... without ever chair) in more than 800 members to the 33 sections of the PCI camuno.
signatures?
not more than six or seven, all strictly Communist, was the most friendly to tolerate some independent left Cenini Guido, so to speak.
After the sluggish early, in November of '91, Graffiti took a "shine light own ", a light still dim, irradiated by four pages that were increasing gradually, the group of graffiti artists has expanded, to reach its current eight editors, a significant number of permanent staff and increasing number of occasional guests: 130 in first ten years.
Today there are twelve pages, however, insufficient to contain the contributions of all those who feel the need to influence "on a hard surface, usually by putting the discovery of an underlying layer of a different color" in a valley where, very often, who is boss is a wimp, but capable of anything.
Fortunately there are only Cetto La matter, incapable and dishonest, and Graffiti from the first numbers reported on the positive expresses our territory.
In these twenty years was shocked that we were addicted to reality: politics, economy and society are no longer the same, the social relations have changed profoundly and the attack on the institutions and civic duty has resulted in damage that seem irreversible.
Our decision not to discourse of the greatest systems, but to keep us anchored in local issues, has not prevented us to understand the effects that events in general was affected in the Valley and speak out about these and proposed points of view have not been approved.
200 numbers: ce n'est qu'un début: continuons the combat.
We feel we cry, old and new sessantottino, pace of Gelmini, that the '68, as on many other things un'emerita proves to be illiterate.

What Do You Use Isopropyl For

DEDICATED TO ALL YOU

In a recent and very dark moment of my life, a friend sent me this poem by Emily Dickinson that opened my heart.
I dedicate today to all of you

"Hope" is a being plumed

"Hope" is a being feathered -

that settles on the soul -

and sings the tune without words -

and never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the storm - is heard,

E intense must be the storm -

that might confuse The bird

that so many have warmed -

I heard in the cooler earth -

And Sea stranger-

Yet, never, in need,

asked a crumb - of Me

Goldaniga rejoinder: but righteousness!

Graffiti On November Goldaniga James opened the debate on the issues of urban Lozio. In December, the newspaper hosted replicas Alex Domenighini (Mayor of Malegno) and Igor Ducommun. Here you can read the rejoinder of Goldaniga (found below articles already published). The debate continues ...
is well known that their unions are also a small "caste" for which you take the part. If the conclusion of his article , where he says "those who stayed for five years," the mayor of Malegno refers to the undersigned, reject the assumption it to the sender. Apart from family problems (and who does not?) In the last five years I was wide awake and while they, the environmentalists, they were whispering to the B & Bs in Borno-Zanaglio, by silence / agreement on Lozio (as reported in our How Green Valley "Graffiti in January 2008 - and for the destruction of someone Lozio Friends of Nature has also resigned), I gave her contribution to the preservation of the village of Castle (I'll talk about in an upcoming issue). Moreover when the mayor of Malegno still wore short pants, always gave myself a contribution to the salvation of the Cerreto di Dossi Ossimo from a municipal solid waste landfill for Media Vallecamonica. Now, from "very rigorous historical documents", but with a good memory, I remember in one of the first interviews with Teleboario, the former mayoress Fiorani asserted that he would only permit the construction of 90 houses and only in S. Nazzaro and then he blocked everything. If mathematics is not an opinion, from the 90 "houses" to 500 "condominietti", there is a difference of no less than 410 dwellings. However if this abnormal flow of cement is not responsible for the Fiorani, as mayor, promoting a new plan (or TMP) and even the inaction of the environmentalists, and not even those who, by his own admission, let alone the Fiorani, then whose responsibility is ? The mayoress Fiorani was only able to block my book on the history of Lozio for four years, but then, when they resort to legal action, a dedication of rods rather flattering (although not required) as I put him in that place, publishing work in economics, in black and white instead of color, only 200 copies and with a poor quality. Just because the work she had not ordered (by the way the work had already been paid by the junta last year). I apologize for this reference, but I took off a pebble in the shoe because it supports the popular wisdom that "it is better to die with the hump with the crop." In addition, the mayor of Malegno tells me that when you have managed well, usually, as has happened to him, he is re-elected. Why does not Fiorani was re-elected and loziesi have preferred an eccentric and extravagant "Tone"?
share of 99% that stated in his article Igor Ducommun while I disagree with him when he sees my part "over-indulgence that has been the work of the junta Pizio. If so I had not spoken negatively of the Villa Mozart, Rinaldi, the Curia, and no need for a third country and between Sucinva Laveno. If you read carefully my article of December, you should understand two basic things. First. I said that after all the original design of the "village" of Pizio was architecturally and aesthetically better than the filth that are made later in S. Nazzaro, chamber and Villa. Second, that environmental groups should be activated in the same way when planning the destruction is permitted by an administration right, center or left. (Assuming that these categories are still valid and civic especially for teams). And I would add that it is much more deplorable when the destruction of the territory is allowed by those who consider themselves left-wing junta and environmentalist. Nothing but righteousness!

Coffee Table On Craigslist

Lozio: who has the permission and those who wanted

Igor Ducos (from "Graffiti", December 2010):
I would like to express some considerations about the article by James Goldaniga , published last month in Graffiti, entitled slams in urban valley Lozio.
I am in tune with the author when he expresses all his anger and astonishment at the outrageous choice edificatoria which was implemented in the beautiful town to which I have an affection and a special bond. I agree so absurd as counterproductive the implementation of projects idiotic. From the structure for the elderly adjacent to the ancient church of St. Nazzaro, the new ghost town (I like to call "Big Ben style," seems so fake), built at the same location, by pouring concrete in "Camera", the enormous growth of the homes of Villa. Unfortunately, what happened to Lozio, is not the prerogative of that municipality. Over the past fifteen years we have seen throughout the Valcamonica a senseless destruction of the soil. If, indeed, we extend our gaze beyond, we see that all this took place also in adjacent areas, in many provinces, in many regions. It is a nation-wide phenomenon that appears is continuing. Council in this regard to look up the internet fine documentary film entitled "The soil under threat." How do you explain the uncontrolled advance of the cement scale so vast? I think the loss of the ability of policy design and plan the area for the public interest, freedom of action has left a busybody and speculators of all kinds and at all levels. I am also convinced that in this kind of investment there is a strong presence of organized crime.
Returning to the small town in question, I think the disparity in Goldaniga sin ' charge the responsibilities of what to what he calls "notorious environmental groups." I do not know if they have tried all the moves available to stop these atrocities, but otherwise I think this was caused by that sense of helplessness and the hopelessness among those advancing years has been fighting against the windmills, not found, many times, even the support of the locals.
It seems to me also note that over-indulgence that has been the work of the junta Pizio. I do not want hours defending the administration Fiorani, and I have no evidence to suggest whether, in the inherited conditions, has put everything that was in his power to stop projects. But I know that to have fielded all Pizio were the former mayor and his staff. I do not mean only the seals overbuilding. Other strange things were inspired by the bizarre fantasy of the then mayor. Who remembers the attempt to create a landfill in the area of \u200b\u200bthe former quarry? Or the desire to install an incinerator?
For the future I hope that the current majority has the sensitivity, the ability and courage to make political choices opposite to those described above. Lozio deserves it.

Lozio: replicating the article by Alex Domenighini Goldaniga

Alex Domenighini, Mayor of Malegno (from "Graffiti" December 2010):
Contrary to the rule, which applies in general, which until now has been worth for me, not to intervene in issues involving other municipalities and other municipalities, as the article "How was this possible? "James Goldaniga , Graffiti appeared on the November caused me to lose several hours of sleep, I rise" to make a personal "the issue of building mass occurred in the valley of Lozio. Having attended Lozio steadily over the past 20 years I also say my.
If there is a massive charge of building of terraced houses in the valley of Lozio, this is the council who led the town from 1995 to 2004.
For us who form the Committee for the Protection of the vale of Lozio were nine years of battles against the landfill project (won) against the planned incinerator (won) against the houses (lost). Even legal battles for which we paid either as associations (Friends of Nature were located at the School of Laveno and there she had to leave because the school was sold to be replaced by houses), both personally (in economic terms and unfortunately also in terms of health).
Claudia Fiorani's election as mayor, in 2004, has unfortunately illusion that the battle was won, so if we have a responsibility (and I feel like all this responsibility) was to have left alone to fight for Claudia homeland. Our task must be to assist and we have not done. Maybe someone knows that it is easier to remove the parental rights of a parent who is a building site to a property and so administration Fiorani, in perfect solitude is only able to limit the damage. Just compare the plan in force until 2004 with variations approved by Fiorani to see what the damage was limited.
Cito also a fact that alone explains Who is Claudia Fiorani: between building areas yields Guaranteed clear there was a large enough, the deputy mayor. If the ideas are for what they cost and not for what they make, here demonstrated the seriousness and honesty of the administration Fiorani. I feel I have much to learn from the behavior of the administration. I therefore ask those who has stayed for five years to form their own opinion (and consequently the reader) to documents (as befits a historian as rigorous Goldaniga) and not on emotions.

What Kind Of Weave Does Risky Wear

slams planning in Val di Lozio: who made it possible?

Goldaniga James (from "Graffiti", November 2010):
This summer I worked cultural Lozio. It was a long time since I visited the districts loziesi and I was literally speechless in front of the abnormal flow of cement which has totally and brutally distorted the character of this scenic mountain land. Below the church of S. Nazzaro there is a group of second homes, maybe a hundred or so, and aesthetically, in my opinion, would have spoiled less the natural environment (on the coast Sucinva) if they had been built around the artistic church now not even the most isolated and surrounded by a household, but accompanied only by the monstrous and modern hospital seems, as I pointed out a senior post, 'na shoe' n süpel.
first question. How did the superintendent Rinaldi to issue permission to build a retirement home to a meter away from the churchyard of a seventeenth-century sanctuary? And how did he accept the Curia intervention so sacrilegious? Well, the power of money! In his non-sense and in his megalomania, had more sense, the construction of a new urban area, well laid out around the church, it was in the original design of Pizio, that after all his philosophy enjoyed a more or less acceptable, that is to say that countries have risen and stand around the churches, Lozio admitted that he needed another country and between Laveno Sucinva. The new mayoress Fiorani, moreover, openly declared that environmentalist, initially argued that they should block everything, then perhaps the insistent pressure, perhaps because of ongoing legal disputes, perhaps because of instability of the financial statements or because he changed his mind, he left to run, allowing building permits to the right and left. And so now a layer of cement is in the local Chamber, which has absolutely nothing to the point where it is built (between two curved roads), no tourism. I remember that at the time, just this site, the Inspector of Forestry Moggio had blocked only two members of the touristic cottages Armanini-Gualandris. The time was the current mayor of Antonio Giorgi.
At Villa there is the greatest havoc. At the entrance, if coming from Ossimo was no change in the street, which, to tell it like it is an improvement, because it was enlarged on the right has run and created a playground for children. But just ahead there is a hive of second homes, on top of each other, with horrible stairs, and, unbelievable, the villas are supported by a central long, high wall and disgraceful to concrete arches, similar to that of Darfo repairing the highway from a hypothetical second rockslide. Codest wall maintains the land and the houses built above the road. To view it in its entirety, from the opposite side of Ossington, at first glance looks like a large military barracks. Neither one is worried to mask it with green or otherwise. If we were in town would have been painted by graffiti artists. Beyond the valley of the Kings, other second homes, then a second monster of concrete, made by removing the rock, with latch on the right side of the road leading to Castle Villa. From the school hall meetings and there appears to falling apart ... All over at Villa as many new apartments will be built? Maybe 300 if not more. Overall, between Villa, S. Nazzaro Room will be built about 500 new homes. The non-sense, besides the obvious ugliness the building, is that the residents in the four villages are around 360, divided into 200 families. The nuclei of the old houses inhabited are over 300.
You could not sell or restructure for tourist use, the already huge existing building and maintaining the unused land? Who are the other 500 for second homes? Albeit at low prices as you will to sell and who will buy? In the current economic crisis seem out of melon so who built them, because the tourists buy. Most will remain unsold. But we are to blame for this pointless destruction in urban Lozio Valley. We know that the builders and speculators do their job, but the public should not govern the territory? These notorious PGT we are doing? As we could afford all this? And the notorious environmental groups, Legambiente, Italy Nostra, Friends of Nature, etc.., So trust mainstream Pizio time of the junta, where they were while the junta was being built in S. Fiorani Nazzaro, and at Villa Camerata? Asleep?
